How does the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act affect you?

On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. There are many provisions to this Act, but one part affects those on COBRA who are  “Involuntarily terminated between September 1, 2008 and February 17, 2009″ (don’t you love how that is worded?).

If this describes your situation, you could qualify for a federal subsidy of up to 65% of your COBRA premium.
